Smugglers’ Notch state park is a wonderful narrow pass through the Green Mountains. We strongly encourage you to visit it if you’re in the Stowe area. Hiking attracts many tourists in summer, but in winter the road is closed, making it a perfect place for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. This photo shows the foot bridge, which you can access by the parking lot at the base of the mountain.
