Excellent experience, definitely the highlight of our visit to Vermont

“My wife and I enjoy brewery tours and typically do a single tour per visit to an area. We found Vermontology while looking at the ‘Local activities’ link at the resort we were planning to stay at. We took a leap of faith and signed up three days prior to our trip. Natalia from Vermontology contacted us just minutes after placing our ticket request. On the day of the tour Natalia picked us on time at our hotel and we set out. Over the next 8 hours Natalia was an excellent guide…” Read more on TripAdvisor…

Harpoon is best known for its Harpoon India Pale Ale. It brews multiple other year-round beers including the award-winning Dark, UFO Hefeweizen, UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, and UFO White, UFO Light Force, UFO Maine Blueberry, and selected Clown Shoes beers. Harpoon also offers seasonal beers, including an Octoberfest Marzen style Ale and Harpoon Camp Wannamango. They also offer the  ‘100 Barrel Series’, which consists of a number of one-of-a-kind batches.

Brewery & Distillery Tour

“An absolute must for beer and spirits enthusiasts. Natalia was very engaging and entertaining, provided great info about the areas we traveled through, and made the time fly by.

There is pick-up and drop-off offered, which is also very helpful, especially for this sort of tour. Sample sizes were just right to keep you buzzing, but not so much that you go sloppy.

Just perfect from top to bottom. Worth every cent and then some.” Read more on TripAdvisor…

SILO Distillery

Windsor, VT

After lunch and beer tasting at Harpoon, we continue to SILO Distillery in Windsor. SILO is a Vermont craft distillery, distilling small-batch spirits from Vermont-grown grain and local ingredients. Their process begins with grain selection from Grembowicz Farm in North Clarendon, Vermont. Everything at Silo is done, start to finish, in their barn distillery. Sustainability is also part of their process; recycling the water used throughout distillation, and sending spent grains to farmers to use for feed. We love their amazing barn with a real silo tower. The ambience is truly unique and makes for a great tasting experience.

A Great Time!

“My girlfriend and I went on the Vermontology “Brewery” Tour and had a great time! Natalia really knows her stuff and is very friendly. We didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised with the variety and quality of the places that we visited. We’d recommend this to anyone who is looking to take a break from the slopes for a day of fine brews and fine company.” Read more on TripAdvisor…

Fun! Fun! Fun!

“My husband and I wanted to try something different for a weekend get-a-way and happened upon Vermontology. We are not ones that usually have much planned when we travel and thought it could not hurt to try a one day tour. We were greeted by our stellar guide, Natalia, and throughout the day it just got better. We visited and toured several local distilleries and breweries, had a great lunch at Otter Creek, and continued to navigate through beautiful Vermont. Having a small business ourselves it was humbling to see how Natalia had a vested interest in other small businesses within her community. Natalia was quick to point out many local stores and included several of these in her tour. It was very clear Natalia also had great rapport with the businesses on her tour. Need a coffee break? Want to detour to a certain place you heard about? Natalia was easy-going and had no problems stopping wherever you wanted on the way. I could go on and on about how great a time we had but you really have to try it for yourself. If you are looking for a great day, with a great host, for a great price, call Vermontology. You will not be disappointed!” Read more on TripAdvisor...
